Wombat Facility and Educational Facility & Program

Wombat Facility: Finance is being sought for a wombat facility to include 6 external wombat pens, underground fireproof burrows and a small hospital ward capable of maintaining wombats. The Dingo Centre is in a high fire danger zone so it is important to be able to isolate wombats safely underground in case of a fire.

Educational Facility & Program: The overall aim of the Dingo Centre is to provide an environment for education. Training facilities would be used for educating wildlife carers, vet students and the general public. Also, we are seeking to setup an educational program in conjunction with the RSL, with the option to include indigenous ADF personnel, to assist them with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This would include working with animals – dingoes and general animal encounters.
