FEMAS – Family Eats, Meals and Support – Food Relief for Families Escaping DFV
This project aims to increase our cooked meals and fresh food support to women and children escaping DFV situations.
One Meal is a volunteer run charity providing food relief and social connection for disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk families & individuals across greater Sydney. Over the past two years we have experienced an unprecedented increase in the need for our services, particularly for women and children affected by DFV making up the fastest growing cohort referred to us for food relief.
We are seeking funding to provide 1500 meals/week for women and children affected by DFV to help meet this urgent and growing need in our community,
While the project focus is providing healthy nutritional meals and food support, its dignified and caring delivery also encourage social interactions that promote a sense of being valued, belonging, community connection and social support.
