Education for Empowerment in Cambodia provides 45 disadvantaged girls with the materials and support they need to pursue their education and improve their access to basic human rights. Enabling access to education goes beyond simply providing a girl with a school bag, a bicycle, and some books.

School materials alone are the starting point, not the solution. Those living in extreme poverty struggle daily to access basics human needs, including access to safe drinking water and nutritious food. Changemakers will provide 45 girls under the age of 18 with essential education materials, a water filter, ten different types of vegetable seeds, financial support for additional classes, and monthly safety visits to ensure they are safe and in school.

By integrating years of experience with best practices in child protection and girl’s empowerment, this project provides disadvantaged girls with everything they need to shine in the classroom and beyond
