The Hepburn Wildlife Shelter cares for and rehabilitates over 500 wild animals every year. This requires enormous effort and resource. All species of animals that live within this wildlife abundant region (with the exception of the Platypus), from tiny Feather Tailed gliders to adult male kangaroos, are welcomed and cared for at the shelter. Every animal has its own dietary and housing requirements. Many have veterinary and associated medical costs to treat injuries and illness. The provision of these resources is essential but costly. Our grant will support the ongoing provision of the specialty services we provide to injured and orphaned wildlife.
